On Friday, former Kano State governor and current APC national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, responded to the Court of Appeal's verdict affirming the Kano State governorship election tribunal's decision.

The tribunal had earlier nullified Governor Kabir Yusuf's victory, declaring Nasiru Gawuna of the APC as the winner of the March 18 poll. Ganduje encouraged Yusuf to appeal the decision at the Supreme Court, expressing confidence in another victory.
The tribunal had invalidated 165,663 votes for Yusuf, citing lack of INEC stamp/signature, reducing his count to 853,939 against Gawuna's 890,705. INEC initially declared Yusuf the winner with 1,019,602 votes.
The APC contested, alleging electoral malpractice, leading to the current legal proceedings. Ganduje, now optimistic about Gawuna's governance, anticipates further achievements in Kano State.
