Nasarawa Assembly Committee Calls Governor Sule's Aide for Alleged Diversion of Palliatives

The committee of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, which is conducting an inquiry into the alleged misappropriation of palliatives, has requested the presence of Governor Abdullahi Sule's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Nawani Aboki, and Mr. Bello Akoza, the Overseer of Ekye Development Area.

The summons was issued by Mr. Abel Bala, the Chairman of the Committee and Deputy Speaker of the House, during a questioning session with certain council Chairmen in Lafia on Monday.

Bala directed Aboki and Akoza to appear before the committee on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.  They have been asked to provide clarification regarding their involvement in the distribution of palliatives intended to mitigate the consequences of fuel subsidy removal in the region.

The Chairman emphasized the committee's dedication to conducting a comprehensive investigation and the necessity of the summons.

He also cautioned that individuals found complicit in diverting palliatives would face the appropriate consequences, reiterating the committee's commitment to holding everyone accountable.
